TMT Motors is preparing to introduce the Nano S05, a compact two-seater electric vehicle, to the Vietnamese market in Q4 2025. Designed for urban environments, the S05 boasts a range of 120-150 km per charge, support for both fast and slow charging (including detachable batteries), and an expected price that positions it as an accessible option for individuals and families seeking a second vehicle for city travel. Its small footprint and zero-emission operation aim to address the growing demand for sustainable and convenient urban mobility.

TMT Motors is set to revolutionize urban commuting in Vietnam with the impending launch of its new Nano S05 electric mini-car. Slated for release in the fourth quarter of 2025, the Nano S05 promises to offer an environmentally friendly and highly practical solution for navigating Vietnam's bustling cities, with an anticipated price point just slightly higher than a high-end scooter, potentially making it the most affordable electric car on the market.

Compact Design for City Living

The Nano S05 is engineered with urban practicality in mind. Measuring just 2,400 mm long, 1,380 mm wide, and 1,580 mm high, its incredibly compact dimensions allow for effortless maneuverability through narrow streets, crowded residential areas, and tight parking spaces. The vehicle features a three-door design, including two side doors and a rear trunk door, along with a two-seat configuration. This setup makes it particularly well-suited for personal travel, couples, or as a convenient second car for short, inner-city trips.

Electric Performance and Charging Convenience

Equipped with a pure electric drive system, the Nano S05 promises zero emissions and smooth, quiet operation. On a full charge, the car is expected to achieve a range of approximately 120 to 150 km, a sufficient distance for daily commutes in major cities. A significant advantage of the Nano S05 is its versatility in charging. It is compatible with both fast charging at public stations and slow charging at home. Furthermore, the car utilizes the European CCS2 charging standard, allowing direct connection to TMT Motors' ambitious network of 30,000 charging stations currently being developed nationwide. The detachable battery feature adds another layer of convenience, enabling users to easily remove and charge the battery at home using a standard household outlet.

Affordability and Market Positioning

While the official price has yet to be announced, reports suggest that the Nano S05 will be priced at around 150 million VND, making it comparable to a high-end scooter like the Honda SH 350i. This aggressive pricing strategy positions the Nano S05 to be one of, if not the, most affordable electric car options available in Vietnam, directly competing with other mini-EVs like the VinFast VF 3 and Wuling Hongguang MiniEV. TMT Motors also highlights that the daily operating costs of the Nano S05 will be approximately one-third that of a motorcycle, offering significant long-term savings for consumers.

The introduction of the Nano S05 by TMT Motors underscores the increasing focus on green transportation solutions in Vietnam and the growing consumer interest in electric vehicles. As urban congestion and environmental concerns continue to rise, compact, affordable, and eco-friendly options like the Nano S05 are poised to play a crucial role in shaping the future of personal mobility in the country.
